Cranberry - The RIght Color Scheme For Your Room

If you have no experience in designing and do not exactly know what you really want, it may be difficult to choose the right color for your home. Therefore, this article will discuss some different color schemes so that you can decide whether they are suitable for your home or not. In particular, it covers the beautiful scheme of using cranberry as your main wall color and dusty pink and soft stone as secondary colors. This color scheme, which is amazing, will set up a wonderful choice of dark colors combined with light. Let's discover how this color scheme works.

 

Let's first analyze the color cranberry so you can get a better idea of how this rich darker red/pink color can affect your mood and the overall feel of the room. If you are trying to visualize exactly how the color cranberry will look on your wall just imagine a bunch of cranberry fruits all over and you will get the idea.

The cranberry is a much darker color then other traditional home colors and should be used to make a statement on one or two walls and not a whole room.  However, the cranberry may seem like it is an over powering color but can easily be balanced with the nice lights of the dusty pink and soft stone. To use the soft stone or dusty pink I would suggest for selecting furniture or something as simple as pillows that will really bring out the lighter colors in the room. This will ensure that the cranberry coloring will not take over the entire room.

 

Another way to balance these delicate lights and darks is to use your dark cranberry on one wall of the room and to pain the others with the softer lighter colors. I would use the soft stone to ensure there is a good balance. You may notice that a pink wall may be too over powering in its self. Therefore go with the soft stone and stick to using furniture and accessories that pull out the dusty pink in the room.
